Our team at CLAY loves a client who has a vision; when James and Abi shared theirs with us we knew it would look so good at CLAY and were thrilled to bring it to life. Abi explained how she wanted a minimal/modern theme, with touches of retro throughout. CLAY’s bar, black wall, and modern client suite was enough to fit the bill, but A + J took it a few steps further to personalize their day, their way, with some unique and trend-forward retro touches.

The day started at 12:00pm sharp, James and the groomsmen used CLAY’s client suite to get ready while the girls got ready at their Airbnb. The first look and group photos were taken at CLAY and outside on CLAY’s terrace before the festivities would begin.

A + J had an off-site ceremony which was particularly important to Abi because she wanted to get married at the same chapel downtown that her parents got married at. They were able to do this then throw their big party at CLAY right after to accommodate 150 guests.

Once the ceremony was over, A + J came back to CLAY and took ten minutes to themselves in the client suite for a private toast and appetizers before joining their guests at cocktail hour. We always encourage couples to “take ten” and have a special moment together to let everything soak in. It’s something our previous couples are always so grateful they did, and the same goes for A + J.

It’s safe to say A + J stayed true to their style and taste as it touched every detail of the wedding. From the retro stationery, to Abi’s gorgeous modern two-piece pant-suit, to the black wooden name tags on the tablescape, to the neon sign on CLAY’s black wall and even their gold-foiled gluten-free/dairy-free cake atop CLAY’s black wooden cake stand. Every detail was accounted for and it was so fun for the CLAY team to help bring to life.

They danced the night away with friends and family until the very end when A + J shared a private last dance inside CLAY. Their  guests lined up outside CLAY’s garage to cheer on A + J as they left for Denver International Airport and onto their honeymoon to continue the celebration.
